This is indicated by the three small PAC-MAN symbols at the lower corner of the game screen. When the game begins, Pac Man moves to the starting position at the center, close to the bottom of the screen. If your PAC Man eats an energy pill, the ghosts turn blue. Pac Man can then chase the ghosts and eat them. Be careful during this maneuver because when the ghosts start blinking, they're about to change to where they can get Pac Man again.
Space Invaders Game - This is the old version of Space Invaders game now in a free online flash game format for you to play. Game play can be summed up rather easily. Shoot as many enemies as you can while avoiding getting shot to achieve a high score. Every game screen starts with five rows of eleven space invaders. The first two rows score ten points per large invader. The middle 2 rows will give you 20 points for each medium invader, and the top row scores 30 points for each small invader. This makes each screen worth a total of 990 points. The score for each game screen can be made higher by shooting down special value spaceships that frequently fly from one side of the screen to the other. Temporary protection can be found beneath the 4 bases.
Here are some old game fundamentals.
The invaders travel from left to right. During game play, each time the invaders touch the side, they drop down a single line. In the first game screen, the invaders will need to drop eleven lines to reach the bottom. From then on, the space invaders will start progressively lower down the screen. On the last screen, the game reverts to the starting position of the first game screen and the cycle begins again.
There is no time limit, except that if you do not get to soot all of them before they reach the bottom of the screen, the game ends. Game play controls are as follows: Use the space bar to shoot and the arrow keys to move.
Frogger Game - The old frogger video game has a rich history in pop culture. Play the free online Frogger that is just like the original. You'll start the game with four frogs. The first frog is on the green below the traffic. The rest of the frogs are shown on the upper right-hand corner of the game screen.
Unlike other games in old video games, you have only a limited amount of time to move your frogs from the green and into the bay.
Time is controlled by the time band which is the line located next to the word "TIME" at the bottom of the screen. You have approximately thirty seconds to move each frog home. When you have only a short amount of time left, you'll hear a warning sound and see the word. If you run out of time before you get a frog home, you'll hear a "splat" sound and see a skull and crossbones symbol on the spot where the frog is located when the time runs out.
Frogger game ends when there are no frogs left. Use the arrow keys to control the frog.
Snake Game - The aim of the Snake video game is to guide the snake around the box while munching on the fruit that appears. To eat fruit, you must guide the snake on top of it. Every time you eat, your snake will grow in length and the next fruit will appear. What makes play difficult in this old video game is the wall that surrounds the box. The game ends when you crash into the wall or yourself. When that happens, the game is over and you will have to start all over again.
To guide the snake, use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Asteroids Game - Play the old video game Asteroids online just like you used to when you were at the arcade. Your mission is to destroy as many Asteroids as possible.
Controls during game play are easy. Rotate your spaceship using the left and right arrow keys. The up and down arrow keys provide forward and reverse thrust respectively. The space bar will fire your cannon. Pressing the "H" key will launch you into hyperspace. The "S" key is used to start the game and the "P" key is used to pause the game. The "M" key will toggle the sound on and off and the "D" key will toggle the amount of graphic detail.
Here are tips to play Asteroids well. Avoid having a collision with an asteroid since this will destroy your spaceship. Watch out for flying saucers during the game because they will fire guided missiles at you. If a collision with an asteroid seems imminent, you can tap "h" and go into hyperspace. Your ship will disappear and then reappear elsewhere, gradually fading into view. At the start of the game, you are the proud owner of three spacecrafts. A bonus spacecraft is awarded every 5000 points.
